I just married a Chinese..

I am reviving this blog again as I was very busy with other things. I want to say how happy I am now finally married to my Chinese Prince so I am now officially a YAN JIA REN.
We didn't do a fancy wedding as we have no family here in Richmond, BC but hope to do a proper wedding once we see our families again.
I want to learn Chinese soon so that when I visit his PARENTS in China I will be able to converse with them.
Let's see when we can do that..

I would love to have a traditional Chinese wedding with all the trimmings but let's see. Both of us don't drink Alcohol so we will have to sip very little wine or get the fake stuff lol.

I am hopefully marrying a Chinese and I can't look at this vid seriously when I see the backround . I am enjoying a nice break from work anyway so I might as well leearn some Chinese in a fun way ehy not.
I wonder if I should send this vid to my Fiance!! I have to think about that one because..well..well actually I decided to post a vid of this lovely Chinese wedding instead lol.

Chinese weddings.

I have always been curious to see what a Chinese wedding would look like. There are many different athnic people in China of course, each one hanging onto it's traditions or mixing and matching with new ones. I do know for one thing that Chinese like bright colours and red is always associated with auspicious occasions in China. Like Indian brides many choose red as their main colour of choice unless they are having a western style wedding which would then be white.
I found this on Youtube and I am feeling the pinch. I want a wedding like this lol so I better send this off to someone I know. Well we can dream on eh? I will be writing more on Chinese wedding traditions as we go along.
