I just married a Chinese..

I am reviving this blog again as I was very busy with other things. I want to say how happy I am now finally married to my Chinese Prince so I am now officially a YAN JIA REN.
We didn't do a fancy wedding as we have no family here in Richmond, BC but hope to do a proper wedding once we see our families again.
I want to learn Chinese soon so that when I visit his PARENTS in China I will be able to converse with them.
Let's see when we can do that..

I would love to have a traditional Chinese wedding with all the trimmings but let's see. Both of us don't drink Alcohol so we will have to sip very little wine or get the fake stuff lol.

It's my birthday today.

Well it's my birthday today and I am 42 years old. How exciting lol.I am sitting here in my PJs tapping away at my keyboard thinking of what a life I have had so far. I ahve to really think long and hard at what I really want to do from now and how I will accomplish the things I have in mind.
I promised myself that from this day forward I am going to start learning to speak Chinese properly at least to know the basics in communication as my dream one day is still to go to China. I don't know if and when that will happen but I do hope it happens in this lifetime and fairly soon. Ity isn't the easiest of languages I have come across in trying to learn but nothing is impossible I say..kind of.
So today I embark on the journey to try to speak Chinese. I find it easier to sing in Chinese that to speak but I have to give it a go.

The Elegance of..Chinese Characters..

I wish one day I have the time ..and patience..and guidance to learn how to write beautifully the Chinese characters..
They drift across the page like boats sailing on the river to their destination, sometimes slow, sometimes hurriedly..but whichever way they travel, I can see moonlight and clear crystalline water..
My eyes want to weep at the beauty of their existence..as if they want to talk to me in so many different layers..not just with words but with images that span all the different Heavens and earthly domains..It must be a sacred script ..I am sure of that and if the Chinese ever truly value what they have.they will be given the Mandate of Heaven once again.
