Jia Wu I miss you....

It has been nearly six months since I have seen my Darling Jia Wu.. Here is another of my lamentations in his honour......

The bond of friendship is like counting diamonds in the rain....
Eternity is a bracelet i wear around my wrist....
You tug at my arm and from my contemplation i do stir....
To find the Friend smiling brighter than the glorious moon in
black.....

The song of radiant silence is sleeping in her breath
Put your hand on her heart and and you may also hear
The beat that resonates so pure, through every living thing
More priceless 'tis than Jade, the colour, evergreen..

I miss you Jia Wu.....

Tai Ji Masters...Part 1

I am fascinated by the sheer discipline and unending practice that goes into becoming an adept at any Martial Art. I must admit I harbour a great love for Tai Ji and maybe because I am utterly soft hearted..the whole soft but strong scenario turns me on somewhat. Putting my romantic notions aside for a minute I can visualise the gruelling hardship and sweating bodies, grinding themselves day in, day out in the sweltering heat and the freezing cold. Though I have read in the old Tai Ji manuals that it isn't good to practice Tai Ji when it is windy. I actually did that once and cought a really crazy chill..Never did after that. Yes we have all seen the numerous Wong Fei Hung movies that the Hong Kong Cinema has proudly churned out over the last few decades but is there a film on one very hen hen enigmatic Wang Tsung Yueh I wonder..There is something really cute about this guy but not much is known about him. An excerpt from one of his classic manuals leaves me food for some high dosage thought..

"Taiji comes from infinity; from it spring yin and yang. In movement the two act independently; in stillness they fuse into one. There should be no excess and no insufficiency."

Missing the other half of me today...

I was watching the news today and trying to configure many numbers and letters and an auspicious trip to China on the 08.08.08 with my Beloved..Yes in my dreams lol, we want to hop along to Beijing and take a look at that Bird's nest that is being built with both love and sweat from many a Beijingren and rens beyond Beijing no doubt as many a labourer clusters into the city from the provincial country side.
Here is a little poem I wrote for my Beloved again as my heart was etched with a warm feeling of anticipation mixed with missing and pining for him again. Oh no I have turned soppy again, can you really blame me?

Such worlds of innate beauty are slowly breaking down..
Each wall of dreams I built with my every loving thought...
Inside me they come crashing down and crumble at your feet.
What love is this that speaks harsh words without a loving touch?

The night set in with all it's weary overtones..
and jufang is buried under the stars forever..
from ju fang to bu ming where is she now?
who will find her heart burning through the earth?

Her secret lays buried with her, only in harmony with the Dao..
whoever can possess the jade and it does not weigh heavy..
can wake her from her slumber and grant her back her name
Jia Wu! ..even Heaven is weeping are you not purturbed?

Treasures of Zhengzhou..

Zhengzhou is a Tourist person's delight as there are so many sights to see and I am sure it would be quite a difficult task to cram in one visit! A few of the delights on one's galavanting around this ancient City are as diverse to each other as is the Sun and Moon in a Mid Summer Eclipse........ The first stop in Zhengzhou would have to be the Shaolin Temple in my point of view which is situated at the foot hills of mount Song..very apt name for a mountain near such a place where one has to learn a lot of Song lol..well in this case it means 'to relax'..part of the martial arts training process!! They call the Shaolin Temple the NO ONE TEMPLE UNDER HEAVEN which I think is quite a sweet epithet for such a regal place. Home to Shaolin style Gong Fu..the Shaolin Monks have been practicing Martial Arts for over 1,500 years! Within the Shaolin Temple there are so many ....................................... attractions....................

Zhengzhou...the home of the QI MEN! Part 1.

O.k you will be asking me.."why the heck are you writing about Zhengzhou?"
Well there is a very simple and biased answer to that lol..it is the birthplace of my Beloved Jia Wu..and the place of Qi Men..yes the Shaolin Monks..

Capital City of Henan province, it is famous for its history..having been the Capital of the Shang Dynasty well over 3,500 years ago. It is a hubbub for both tourists and arcehologists alike that migrate from all over China and Abroad. It is also home to the infamous Shaolin Temple and we don't need an introduction as to what this Great Centre of Spirituality exports do we? Martial arts of course.

Affectionately known as the Green City, Zhengzhouren (Zhengzhourites) are proud to boust that their city is a prime example of tree planting and a model Green zone in China.

Tomorrow we will savour Zhengzhou's tourist spots and the best places to visit and hang out in.
Here is just a small glimpse of what is instore for you...and me as I can't wait to visit my Mum-in-law one day, apparently she does some wicked Yang Family Tai Ji every morning.....perfect!

Buff hunks IN HANFU!!!

Oh no not them again lol you must be saying to yourself. Well I must admit I do find men in dresses very very enticing lol and if I had my way I would have my Hubby frolic around in the Traditional Chinese Garb better known as Han Fu or Clothes of the Han People..well something to that effect. I saw a pic of one such Hunk in a supermarket somewhere!! I just was so beside myself that this image has been transfixed in my mind permanently. The girls look just as fit in these most beautiful costumes and I do hope one day I can get hold of one. I saw some advertised on Taobao, the Chinese kind of Ebay site so I am going to do my best to buy one if I can get the currency over there sorted as they don't take paypal! Ouch!
It is becoming quite fashionable now this really really retro mode of dress and there are now quite a few designers making a name for themselves in Beijing like Li Da Zhi..got to check him out when I get the chance to visit!!
For now I have to savour the pic of the Mysterious Trolley Pusher..!!!
Zai nar oh Trolley Pusher? You can shove me in your trolley any day lol!!!

My Beloved's Birthplace...Part 1..

Well well well, have all my friends missed me at all?
I know I have been busy with trying to build the Yan Empire, oh dear I should re phrase that lol..My online business activities so my creative side has floundered a little bit. But I am back in China, my virtual China until I can get that golden ticket and visit it in real life.
You will not believe where my handsome prince comes from will you?
It's the land full of hunky QI MEN running around the Shaolin Temple of course. I tell you what, if they were not ruddy monks I bet you they would be China's greatest export after silk and casinos lol!!!
Jia Wu comes from Henan Province, Home to the Sung Dynasty Emperors and to fighting warrior men and I hope in the next few online episodes I can entice you into coming on this journey with me into his mysterious birthplace.......
